Microsoft Interview Guide: Interview Questions, Answers and Details 2024 (Program Manager, Product Manager/Technical Account Manager and similar non-dev roles)
(Also applies for Product Marketing Manager, Associates, Operations Manager, HR/Recruiter and Business Managers)
Last update: October 25, 2024. (This update was a rather big one. I have updated the content significantly based on feedback and added more questions that were asked to my recently hired colleagues in similar departments.)
With the recent hiring slowdown and continued layoffs in 2024, getting an offer from Microsoft is much more challenging and it requires a perfect interview. Increase your chances by studying answers from recent employees that got them into Microsoft.
Contents of the Microsoft Interview Guide
– How to get an interview at Microsoft.
– The questions recent candidates have been asked. (More than 150 pages of recent questions & answers with category & type breakdown)
– Microsoft employees’ “winning” answers to them (Those were the answers that got them into Microsoft).
– Behavioral Questions for managers and individual contributors.
– Many other crucial information that will help you stand out.
We are pretty sure that this Microsoft Interview Guide downloadable book will help you a lot during your interviews. The questions and the process also apply to manager roles in different global offices since they have a pretty standard process across the board.

This was my go-to guide for the Europe based Sales Manager interviews at MS. Good number of questions helps you brush up your skills on many topics. Well worth the investment!

Solid 5 stars from me. Used Ryan’s book for my Seattle campus interviews and found the answers and “approaches” in the book really made a difference for me. Didn’t get the offer at the end due the role being paused but talked with my recruiter and they’ll reach out me with alternative roles again in a couple of weeks. She said I am a “top candidate”. Will definitely keep the book for future interviews.
